Job Title: Software Engineer
Position Type: Full-time
Location: 75 5th Street NW, Suite 213, Atlanta, GA 30308
Job Description: InterCAX is seeking highly motivated, experienced, and energetic software engineers to develop advanced next-generation model-based system engineering applications. Selected applicants will contribute to the development of both general purpose and domain-specific collaborative modeling and simulation environments based on the following technologies: Systems Modeling Language (SysML), CAD/CAE, relational/object-oriented databases, and web application frameworks. Selected applicants will be responsible for: (a) contributing to the architecture of this environment, (b) agile development, (c) testing, (d) integrating components, and (e) deploying the application. Our customers include leading organizations in aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, and electronics sectors.
Skills/Qualifications
To apply: Email your CV and 1-2 slides/screenshots of representative software application(s) that you have developed to jobs@intercax.com.
InterCAX and Georgia Tech are jointly conducting SysML & MBSE training in Washington DC area this week (Apr 2-5, 2011). The training will cover two courses – SysML 101 and SysML 102. In SysML 101, participants will learn about the value of SysML and model-based systems engineering and learn to read all 9 types of SysML diagrams. SysML 102 is a hands-on course where participants will create SysML models from detailed tutorials and do useful things with it, such as execute parametric models to compute system performance and run mini-rovers using activity models.
Click here to learn about our training program and to register. The next offsite training will be held in Las Vegas (Aug 16-19, 2011). Contact us to schedule onsite and online courses.
This is an open enrollment course and it being organized by Georgia Tech Distance Learning and Professional Education (DLPE).
Today, we are launching the first beta version of Solvea™ – SysML parametric solver and integrator add-in for Enterprise Architect. With Solvea™, system engineers can execute SysML parametric models in Enterprise Architect (EA) to compute system performance, cost, reliability, and other measures-of-effectiveness; setup and perform automated requirements verification; and run automated trade studies to select best-in-class alternatives. System engineers will be able to wrap and execute MATLAB functions/scripts and custom Mathematica functions directly from SysML models in EA.

Today, InterCAX and Atego are launching Artisan Studio ParaSolver - SysML parametric solver and integrator for Artisan Studio. With ParaSolver™, system engineers can for the first time execute parametric models in Artisan Studio to explore system performance and other measures-of-effectiveness (MoEs), automatically verify requirements, perform trade studies, estimate cost and allocate resources, keep diverse system models in-sync (e.g. logical and physical, hardware and software), and do much more. Connections to Excel, MATLAB/Simulink, and Mathematica will enable system engineers to wrap and execute existing models and data sources in the context of a system.
ParaSolver™ is an InterCAX product that will be available exclusively via our partner Atego. Click here for the official press release from Atego.
Melody™ R3 brings significant power to SysML parametric execution for IBM Rational Rhaposody, enabling system engineers to execute a wider range of SysML parametric models, especially those involving complex aggregate relationships, nested part/reference/shared properties, and inheritance. Users have complete flexibility in creating custom packaging structures, reusing SysML blocks and constraint blocks, and performing incremental testing and verification. Automated instance model and diagram generation allows system engineers to quickly develop topologically variant system alternatives and perform trade studies. Melody™ R3 provides model validation and debugging utilities such as warning users of parametric relationships involving incompatible value/data types. Melody™ R3 requires Rhapsody 7.5.2 and is available in 2 editions – Standard and Pro.
We bring you ParaMagic® 16.9, now available in 2 editions – ParaMagic® and ParaMagic® Lite. For users just getting started with parametric solving, ParaMagic 16.9 Lite provides an entry-level capability without the need for Mathematica or MATLAB licenses. Both editions of ParaMagic® 16.9 support value properties that represent quantities (SysML 1.2 specification). Users can now take advantage of the SI ValueType library available with the QUDV Profile in MagicDraw 16.9 and higher. ParaMagic® 16.9 also provides several efficiency-related improvements in generating Mathematica and OpenModelica models from SysML parametric models. Users will observe a faster solution time for large and complex models.
